Professor Gentry is part of a team doing  research on autism spectrum disorders.  Research has shown that Nystagmus occurs at higher rates in children with autism than in the general population.  Autistic children share resistance to post-rotary nystagmus with people who have horizontal gaze Nystagmus which adds more interest to searching out the links between the two neurological conditions, and, that solutions in one area, may lead to solutions in the other. Dr. Gentry also investigates communication problems associated with Alzheimer’s disease, another group for which ProFoveate™  may provide solutions.
